for those of yall that didn't know, kristi was a 37-yr-old ms patient that i took care of for the last year of her life.
she had a wonderful ribald sense of humor and talked like a sailor at times.
but it was all to cover up the ultra-sweet and tender heart she had.
Frannie: I'm very sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing with us, what a special person Kristi was. My prayers are with you and her family.

because i'm bored, i have decided to do a little bit of bragging.. first off, here taxidermed remnants of a turkey i got in april:.
in case you didn't know, turkeys are "graded" by the size of their spurs (black things sticking off legs) and by their beards (black feathers that stick out of their chest).
this turkey had an 8 1/2" beard and 1 1/4" and 1 1/8" spurs.
I have to tell this story. My boss a Dr. is a hunter. Has hunting dogs. Got a new one. Called a lady who had chickens. She brought a rooster to the office in a dog carrier. He crowed the entire day. Funny to watch patients look at each other when it would crow.
Anyway, he wanted it for its skin. and feathers. He had prided himself with always eating what he killed. So he boiled the little critter after skinning it. He took only a couple of bites, he said that was the toughest bird he had ever eaten. HL

I heard he bitched out the committee, and said they had no right to judge him. He should have known about that subject. In less than a year, he was reinstated. Probably at the insistance of his pioneer wife that stayed with him. I have seen some comments here on the JWD that sound like him. Boy would I love that!
